Your group has argued about the same film three times.
Everyone rates it in private. The Reveal drops all the scores at once, mashes them into one number your group actually built, and names the category you fought over.

Weighted by your group's rubric
Decide what counts before you watch anything.
Most rating apps hand you one box and a number out of five. Your group sets weights instead: how much Story is worth against Pacing, whether a soundtrack can rescue a film. Agree once, and every film after that gets measured the same way.
Comedy night moves the goalposts, on purpose.
Pick a comedy and Humor arrives weighted heavier than Story. Pick a horror film and Fear Factor does the same. The rubric bends to the genre without anybody renegotiating it mid-argument, and every night keeps a snapshot of the rubric it was scored under, so old verdicts never quietly change meaning.
Not in the mood to tune anything? A group can run on Normies instead: Enjoyment, Acting, Writing. Three sliders, no configuration.
Nobody sees a single score until everybody has locked one in.
The loudest person in the room usually sets the number. Blind scoring takes that away: no anchoring, no drifting toward whoever spoke first. The database enforces it, so it is not the app politely hiding things from you.
The headline
Sealed too. Which category you agreed on, and which one split you, lands with the scores.
The headline
United on Acting. Split over Pacing.
Dev sat 3.4 below the group on Pacing. That is the argument worth having, and it is the first thing the app tells you.
The disagreement is the feature.
Letterboxd is a diary: one person, one opinion, a stream of them. Mash Potato only makes sense with other people in the room. It keeps track of what your group agrees on, so after a few nights it can tell you who you actually share taste with, and it never ranks anybody against anybody.
One number, not an average of strangers
Mashed is your group's weighted result. A film can be a 4.1 in one group and an 8.6 in another, and both are correct.
Taste twins
After three nights it can say who you line up with and where you reliably part ways. No leaderboard, ever.
Where to watch
Streaming availability sits where the decision happens: on the film you are about to start a round on.
Pick the film first
Open a vote with a few options, everyone gets one switchable ballot, and the winner rolls straight into a round.
Say it in one sentence
A one-line take rides along with your card and unseals with it, so nobody writes their review after reading yours.
Postable
A Reveal exports as an image carrying the score, the spread and the headline. Never names, never anyone's individual number.
Settle it properly this time.
Make a group, pick something nobody agrees about, and see what the number says.
